Creating Ad Campaigns: Proposal

I will make a website to work as a portfolio to hold a trailer, 2 posters and a link to buy the DVD/Blu-ray. I will use a main title font called Batman Forever with a light blue glow like the following…

I will be basing parts of the themes on Batman, hence the font.

The website will be designed with a screencap of the gun in the intro as the background.

There will be 2 posters, using different backgrounds and a slight different layout. They will both have the cinema release date, title of the movie, and the names of the main actors.

The music being played on the website will be the same music which is played at the beginning of the movie.

There will be a buy now link which will enable you to purchase either a DVD, or a Blu-Ray of the movie.

Advantages and Disadvantages of chosen items

I decided to make a website because it would also work well as a portfolio for any other EPK work. I feel websites are an important part of advertising because a lot of people look for websites of movies for information on the movies and also for trailers, posters and any other types of media.

The other item I made was a poster. The reason I chose to do a poster was because posters are cheap to make and cheap to put up. Making a trailer takes a lot of budget with making it and broadcasting it. I also liked the fact of a poster because it doesn't give away any part of the movie. Trailers are disappointing because the way you interpret a trailer causes you to get a completely different view of the output of the actual movie.

A lot of the other items for the EPK required behind the scenes from the filming, and as it had already been filmed it's was a little too late to get those done. I did also make a DVD cover design that I featured on the website as a little extra.
