The step by step guide on building my set for my animation project.
The first thing I did was design the set using Google Sketchup. I could then see the resources I'd need, this made shopping for the parts easier.
After fitting everything in my car a lot easier than I initially thought, I could start working on the build.
I then proceded to measure my wood...
...and cut it to size.
Sand down the rough edges.
I put the softwood strips around the edge of the bottom panel and glued them with Pritt stick to hold them in place temporarily.
I then drilled in some screws to hold them in securely.
I then drilled in the side panels into the softwood and put in panel pins on the edges to hold the MDF together. Then I constructed the Lego.
I thought I'd have a little test, so I fired up the software for my camera so I could set exposure, shutter aperture etc. on the computer, and also remotely fire the shutter. This would eliminate the need for me to touch the camera at all apart from focusing it.
One of the nice shots I got with a shallow DoF.
