Advertising Placement

Advertising placement is a form of advertising, choosing how to implement advertisements so that they are successful at getting the attention of an audience so that they can give people information of what they are advertising. Product placement can be used to have someone using a specific product advertised discretely by a character using it on a TV show, movie or music video. Sometimes a made up alternative with a similar name is used to suggest a specific product that they do not have permission to use, this is product displacement. An example of product displacement is in an episode of The Simpsons they use a computer/electronics company called Mapple to suggest they were talking about the company Apple, they also went a step further and used a logo similar to the Apple logo by using an apple with two bites instead of one.
